About Me

Intro

Alright… You’re here, so let’s get into it. No filters, no fluff.

This blog is a front-row ticket to my life; a mash-up of everything I love, everything I question, and all the things I’m still trying to make sense of. Call it therapy maybe, or just the ramblings of a guy who’s been around, done a few things, got himself in trouble way too often because of his reckless behavior, his sarcasm and his dark humor… and yet still doing the same shit.

I am the kind of guy who avoids conventions the way most people avoid public restrooms. My life is messy, unpredictable, and a little bit hilarious… Just like me.

Who Am I?

Senegal-born, Paris-based, World-citizen and unapologetically free; I get my kicks from traveling, observing, and occasionally indulging in questionable decisions, like writing this blog. If you came here expecting a motivational life coach, backpedal now. I’m here for the real stuff… the raw, unedited scenes from life as I see it. To me, troubles are like Parisian rain: inevitable, fleeting, and never quite enough to stop me from wandering out at night. Oddly appealing to women (promise mom I’m not even trying), there seems to be “something about me” as I’ve heard a thousand times. The strange and unpredictable crossover between a Gentleman, a Bad Boy and a Man Child seems to be the perfect combination; and as much as they hate to admit it… They love it !

What I Love

Photography, videography, cinema, literature… anything that lets me capture, twist, or tell a story. I’m obsessed with images that speak louder than the best dialogue, books that punch you in the gut, and films that mess with your head. I also love me some cocktails; and I don’t just drink them, I make them. I eat clean but never safe; and I experiment as much in the kitchen as I do in other areas of life… even the ones I shouldn’t. I’ll try anything at least once; It keeps life spicy, keeps me moving, keeps me from getting too comfortable.

The Quiet Stuff

You might think a guy like me craves the limelight; not quite. I’m a firm believer in the art of being alone. I’m at my best when it’s just me, my camera, and the world at 3 a.m., when the city is half-awake, and I’m on my fifth drink… or my third bad idea of the night. I don’t sleep much, it’s overrated. Life is out there happening, and I’m out there with it.

So, stick around… or don’t. Either way… I’ll keep writing, keep wandering, keep experimenting and mixing all that into a cocktail of messy stories that makes sense in some weird, offbeat way. Maybe you’ll find something worth hanging onto here, maybe not. But hey, it’s worth a shot.
